1. Children – If you are taking children on the flight, make sure you take their feelings and normal routines into consideration. If your children are really active and don’t like to stay still, you may want to consider a layover to allow them to get off the plane half way through the flight to run off a little energy or at least stretch their legs. If you have small children that go to bed early and sleep through anything, you could probably get away with having a late night flight. Pilots have to go through extensive training in order to maneuver an airplane and learn how to take off, land, and prepare proper flight plans. If you still are nervous after carefully review each of these thoughts, repeat to yourself that you are perfectly OK. “I am perfectly OK. I am perfectly OK…” Oh, and don’t forget to breath.
